Kale is a great food to consume in order to lose weight, one factor that contributes to this is that kale and other vegetables help in calorie control by making you feel full before you could insert more calories inside your system.

In addition to this, because kale can be a snack, you could use it as a substitute for junk foods and unhealthy finger foods, going for the healthier choice.

Kale being rich in fiber and water also helps in regulating one’s digestion.

Rich in vitamins

Kale is filled with vitamins, below are some of the major essential vitamins that can be found in kale.

Vitamin k

Kale is extremely rich in vitamin K, which helps in blood clot and excessive bleeding.

But what makes vitamin k intake important is that it can prevent or decrease the risk of cancer, by preventing chronic inflammation.

Vitamin c

You might not know this but kale has more vitamin C than an orange. What makes this important is that vitamin C adds many benefits to the body and vitamin C is not something that our body is able to produce.

Some of the benefits of vitamin C are, it heals wounds and scars, it repairs bones and teeth, vitamin C contains antioxidants and many others.

Vitamin a

Vitamin A is one of the most important vitamins that the body needs and kale is extremely rich in it.

Some of the many benefits of vitamin A are, it protects your eyesight from declining, strengthens your immune system, lowers your risk of cancer, and many others.


Iron is included in one of the most important vitamins that our body needs. Iron helps in reducing fatigue, preventing and treating anemia, improving sleep, just to name a few.


It seems like all the essential vitamins that the body needs can be found in kale, including calcium which is needed for the maintenance of strong healthy bones.


Kale already has vitamin A which helps in preventing the deterioration of your eyesight, however, kale doesn’t stop there because kale also has lutein.

Lutein is more well known in preventing the decrease in performance by your eyesight.

Powerful antioxidant

Since kale is packed with many nutrients you can expect that it contains a lot of antioxidants.

Antioxidants are important because they help in protecting the cells. Also when exposed to unhealthy substances such as smoke and radiation, these antioxidants, prevent and reduces your chances of getting health complications.

Prevents cancer

Given that kale is rich in nutrients might be the reason why it can help prevent cancer.

Vitamin K plays an important role in this because it prevents chronic inflammation which can trigger the development of cancer.

Also, since there are other nutrients found in Kale each one has its own contribution in preventing cancer.

Prevents coronary heart disease

Cancer is not the only disease that kale is able to prevent or reduce the risk of, but also Coronary Heart or Cardiovascular Disease.

The factors that contribute to the complications of our cardiovascular system are large intake of sodium and calories, obesity, and lack of physical activity.

Kale is able to solve all those problems considering that kale is a great source of energy, increases calorie control, and improves digestion.


There is nothing wrong about being conscious or knowing fully well the foods that we put in our bodies.

Other than it is our right, responsibility, and it’s for our own good and safety to know what we put in our bodies, we encourage doing this because having a healthy diet or choosing the healthier options can have a huge impact and positive long term effect on our bodies.
